Brad Newton’s Crash Course to Gym Training for Beginners Was Insanely Informative

Let me start off by saying that my knowledge of the gym, working out, and nutrition is very limited. Don’t get me wrong, I have a gym membership. I used to work out 5 days a week and I loved it but then I had kids and my free time went out the window. Funny I should say that because one of the first things that Brad mentions in the course is that you can’t wait for the right time to start, you just have to do it.

I think it’s great that Brad provides all this advice for beginners. He discusses a wide range of topics and has so much information about how you need protein and how to get the protein you need and the different types of protein available and all the pre-work out and post-work out nutrition you need. Honestly, I don’t know how he had the patience to research and learn all of this but you’re lucky he did it so that you don’t have to.

Not only does he discuss nutrition, but he also discusses how important your form technique is if you want to see actual results. He touches on the subject of how many times a week you should be working out and how many reps and sets you need. He also discusses how you should track your body measurements, your workouts and most importantly, your calories. If you want to get serious about your workout regime, you need all this information. It’s simple enough that even a beginner with limited knowledge, such as myself, can understand the information but it is detailed enough where it feels like it can make a huge difference if I apply it.

I would definitely recommend this course to anybody that plans on starting the gym and wants to tone and get stronger. For someone like me that just wants to be healthy and lose some weight, it is still good information but I likely won’t be doing deadlifts any time soon, no matter how much Brad seems to love them.
