Gary Vee is just as inspiring as he is intimidating

In listening to this package of content, I find myself unsure of how to feel about Gary Vee. There are times when he is speaking where I notice I feel intimidated by his no-bullshit attitude and rip-roaring articulation. He doesn’t settle for anything less than what he knows he is worth, and he doesn’t propagate anyone else to do it either, which I find to be extremely admirable and motivating. His advice definitely encourages me to get off my butt and be more fearless and driven in all facets of my life, especially within the realm of music.

In being a musician myself, I find the pieces of information that he shares about the music industry to be very illuminating and useful and to be honest, I can’t wait to put them into practice. I also really love when he mentions how every second you spend focusing on what someone else has, you could be creating something for yourself. This is so true and is a great reminder.

I think that we all get caught up in our minds from time to time, but it is important to be self-aware and notice when we are being destructive and stagnant in our attention and focus, as it only propagates further stagnation. Even though I am just starting my career as a freelance writer, rebranding myself as a musician, and challenging myself within the realms of teaching/facilitating groups centered around created consciousness, I still find myself feeling stifled and comparing myself to others, which only makes me unproductive and less motivated to succeed.

Needless to say, if you are looking for a good listen to motivate you to get off your ass and stop feeling sorry for yourself, Gary Vee will certainly do that for you, while simultaneously disturbing the crap out of you in the best way possible.
