I learned A LOT about my boyfriend by listening to these podcasts.

These podcasts have been complete lifesavers for me. My boyfriend and I are the king and queen of having petty arguments. We’ve had arguments about cleaning up the house. We’ve had arguments about taking care of our little chihuahua. Last week, we even had an argument about me unknowingly eating his Chinese takeout without asking him first. I swear, he got so upset that he didn’t talk to me for half a day xD. At the time I didn’t understand why he got so many over such seemingly small things in my eyes. For years, it has almost seemed like our arguments are a third member of our relationship; and lately, I’ve just been trying to figure out WHY. Why is his first reaction usually an argument?

I’ve learned a lot from listening to Michael Williams. I’ve not only learned about working through our arguments; I’m learning about why exactly our arguments start in the first place. I especially enjoyed the “Why People Argue” tracks of the listing. It feels good to look at our arguments from a deeper standpoint and understand why my boyfriend may act the way that he does or start a problem.

Michael Williams did an excellent job explaining why people choose to argue, and how to stop those arguments before they become bigger than they should. I thoroughly enjoyed how he talked about the subject and if he did another podcast; I’d definitely give that one a try as well. His demeanor reminds me of some of the better professors that I encountered over my four years of college.

I think these podcasts would work well for not only people who are in relationships, but they’d work well for anyone who has to coexist with another person. I think we’ve all dealt with someone who seemingly loves to start arguments about every little thing. These podcasts take a deeper look at that behavior and give solutions instead of giving excuses.
