I learned more about anxiety than I ever thought I would with this podcast series
Even though I have never experienced panic attacks or debilitating anxiety, I have certainly felt its effects within my life from time to time. The way that Dennis Simsek explains anxiety and personal growth is inspiring and very simple to understand. I thoroughly enjoy his exercises and philosophies that he presents to listeners as well, and I find myself actively taking notes while I listen through his podcasts.
One of my favorite portions of this one is where he discusses the 7 Laws of the Mind, and even interviews a self-development guru by the name of Atta Emami, who is also a very inspiring character. As a prospective life coach and teacher, and motivational speaker, I have found many of his exercises to be very useful in my own life experience, as well as great tools to share with my fellow students and teachers.
I also really enjoyed how he mentioned that personal growth and development is not a destination, but it is a forever process that continues until we die. I feel that so many of us expect to reach a certain point where we conquer our demons and all of our problems are finally over, but that isn’t the case when it comes to living. I have to be reminded of this often, especially considering my insanely high and unrealistic expectations of myself that only make me feel worse about where I am and where I am.
We are all just humans going through the motions. We all experience anxiety from time to time, and we all have much work to do over the course of our lives. So, if you would like to learn some effective tools to assist you in better navigating your psyche and emotions, and in particular your anxiety, then lend Dennis Simsek your ears and attention. I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed.
