I’m successful at work, but I’m not sure about the rest of my life.
This is a great course on success. Libby Seery is the host and makes great points on measuring success, how a person can interpret success, and finding success in various aspects of our life, such as financial success, success with our health, in business, with our friends and many other areas as well.
Libby also breaks down the definition of success and various ways to measure it. This is an important point, because knowing how to measure success is key in determining the steps to achieve it.
Libby also talks about internal and external success, but the internal success is the most important. Many of us may be considered successful externally, but internal success must be clearly and identified. While external success is usually pretty standard (nice house, money in the bank, etc) we all will have our own definitions of success.
Libby also brings up great way of gauging our success. One way I find useful is to compare where I was 5 years ago to now.
It’s really great to hear someone talk about the time and effort it will take to be successful. It really helps me to keep things in perspective. It’s also important to remember that there are things out of your control that can have an impact on our ability to achieve success.
I think my favorite part of the course is the list of things that successful people have in common. It’s important to know what other people do and do those things as well.
Another interesting point brought up in the course is how some may have a fear of success. I never thought I had a fear of success, but I did have a few of the symptoms! This is something I must work on, and Libby gave tips on how to overcome this fear.
There are many components to success, as well as ways to define it. This course helps me become upfront and honest about my own personal views of success and how I can achieve them. Great course.
