Self-confidence as a journey to your true self

Fliss Kay’s Boost Your Self Confidence course offers detailed, step by step guidance to break down your negative self-image and start uncovering a more positive and more truthful one.  Each lesson is short and to the point. She helps you with making lists about yourself and your achievements, which is a really practical way to be able to look at things and realize your own worth. She goes over all of the ways we can hurt ourselves too, like comparing ourselves to others, and not setting boundaries and being able to say “no”.

Setting mini-goals is also important because you won’t feel so overwhelmed and get depressed when you can’t get it done. Mini-goals are like a stepping stone to bigger goals, and it just gets easier and easier. She even covers body language which is hugely important. Changing the way I stand has made such a difference in how I feel.

Confidence is often thought of as something that people just naturally have in themselves without any effort. This isn’t true for a lot of us. Many are not guided and encouraged through life in healthy ways and by adulthood, a lot of people still struggle because of the fear of failure, and even, as strange as it sounds, the fear of success.

Most of our negative thoughts and beliefs about ourselves are false ideas that were etched into us from an early age. In order to find that inner confidence and radiance that we all possess, we need to first become aware of how we view ourselves and work on understanding why we feel all of the negative things.

I really appreciate that Fliss Kay not only provides tools to develop self-confidence maintenance skills but self-care such as boundaries and avoiding toxic people who will further hold us back from being who we really are and shining in our light.
