Surprisingly, I learned how to work less and get more done with this audio course.
I love this segment! I’m self-employed, and maximizing my time is critical for me. I work VERY hard, but am I working smart? That’s a huge realization to make, and can be the difference to becoming successful or a failure.
There are only so many hours in the day, and while I don’t mind working hard, I don’t want to spend all of them cooped up behind my computer. I have a family that I want to spend time with…
One section I really found helpful was on accepting things I can’t change. We’ve all been there and it can be frustrating. The key is to change our mindset and learn how to go with the flow. This may not be easy to accomplish, but once we do, it can remove a lot of stress and aggravation from our lives.
This change in mindset is huge. This course really drills home the point that if we want to be successful and work smarter, we must believe in ourselves because no one will believe in us. Nothing can be accomplished if we don’t believe in ourselves first.
This course really hits home for me. I really enjoyed the segment about making just a 1% improvement per day in your business. Deep down I knew this was true, but it’s refreshing to hear that’s how successful people think. Even the smallest improvements daily make the biggest difference!
This course also forces me to focus on being productive as well. If I know I only have a certain amount of time to work, I have to get focused on not play around. By simply being mindful of this, I’m able to get so much work done.
Another segment that made me think is perfectionism vs limited amounts of time to work. If we want something to be perfect, we usually have unlimited time, but how many of us have limited time? Is there a guarantee that a perfect product will be perfect and others will see it as perfect also? That really made me think!
But I think my favorite section is how working a four hour day helps me to respect my time. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in doing things that are not cost-effective (looking at Facebook,) or do things for others that I may not want to do. If we can simply learn to say “no,” we can stay focused on getting our work done!
This course is a must-listen. Too many of us are spinning our wheels and not getting as much work done as we think. I’m talking about quality work.
If we really want to be successful, we must learn how to master the four hour workday. And I’m gonna do it!
