Tips on Solving Problems and Working a S.A. Recovery Program
Mike E. starts off this course. He talks about getting married and he made a promise and says that he made this for the rest of his life. He must carry it out one day at a time and even one minute at a time sometimes. He says the same goes for his sobriety but he plans on doing that for the rest of his life just like he plans on being faithful to his wife for the rest of his life too. He says it is okay to think you are going to be sober for the rest of your life, even while taking it one day a time.
One of the speakers in Creating a Culture of Sponsorship in Sexaholics Anonymous said she is a grateful and recovering sexaholic. What? Grateful. I was not sure how you could be grateful for having an addiction. I have heard this once or twice before but didn’t let it cross my mind to think about it after hearing it before. Grateful for being an addict didn’t sit well with me. I love to journal and so, after hearing this, I did some journaling. I wrote down reasons why I would be grateful to have an addiction. The truth is there are many reasons. I have overcome a lot because of my addiction and am stronger because of it.
I enjoyed the part called Newcomers Always Welcome in Sexaholics Anonymous. It is great to know that people are always welcome at the meetings. I don’t know what I would do if there weren’t people out there who would help me with my addiction. I know there is no way I could do it on my own.
For anyone who has a sex addiction, this is the course you need to hear. It is full of helpful sessions that can work within you.
