A great course with helpful tools and knowledge to help you with your anxiety
I have never been one to have frequent debilitating panic attacks or move through my life with caution out of fear of triggering anxiety, however, I certainly experience anxiety in my everyday life, even if it is a simple little feeling of nervousness. The series of courses provided by The Anxiety Guy are packed to the brim with interviews, techniques, testimonies, and scientific data to assist others in conquering their anxiety and achieving more liberating states of living.
If you don’t consider yourself someone who struggles with anxiety, but perhaps your spouse or partner does, this is a great audio program to give your attention in order to better understand what your significant other(s) may be experiencing, and can help you be more empathetic in the wake of their bouts of angst. As I said before, I have never been one prone to overly active anxiety, however, in listening to this course I have become much more equipped to understand those who are going through it, and have even picked up some tools and techniques to assist me in navigating my inner reality more fluidly and without restraint.
The thing that stuck out to me the most in this is the 2X2X2 exercise he mentions. He talks about essentially taking 6 minutes out of your morning and focusing on getting all the negativity out first thing. Then, you bring your attention and focus to gratitude, stretching your physical body, and engaging in a meditative exercise such as yoga or meditation. Whether you suffer from anxiety or not, I think that this exercise is a great one to implement into your life regardless of if you think you have problems or not. More often than not, the solutions to our ailments is none other than a healthy diet, restful sleep, exercise, and self-awareness. These simple components in and of themselves are the cure for most of our struggles.
So, if you are curious about the science of anxiety, struggle with it yourself, or are looking to better relate to a loved one, give this course a listen.
