A must-have yoga course for newbies
The online articles extolling the benefits of yoga have finally compelled me to give the world of yoga a try. Why not? However, signing up and going to a yoga class was off the table for me given my hectic lifestyle with college and a part-time job at my local Starbucks. Thus, I had to get a course that was either a video or an audio one.
I stumbled upon Libby’s course on the internet, and I consider myself lucky to have found a yoga course that is bespoke for newbies like me and one that is not time-consuming.
This course has turned out to be useful for me, personally. It starts with some broad strokes of yoga and how it is important in enabling us to maintain a healthy mind and body. Then comes the part where the types of yoga positions are explained clearly and briefly. Following that, the Libby gives comprehensive instructions to perform the corpse pose- my personal favorite. Then she teaches about the yoga session itself- which contains standing poses, seated poses, and so on. Then course moves on to meditation methods and sun salutations- a sequence of yoga poses that are considered to be really useful. I loved this part particularly since it didn’t require much effort. In the concluding section, a basic yoga class is demonstrated, step by step. After that Libby finishes the course with the demonstration of a seated and standing yoga classes.
As for my favorite thing about the course, I particularly like the way the course is laid out. The sequence of the exercises is logical- starting with simple ones and moving on to more complicated ones. This has made learning the exercises way easier and more enjoyable for me. Apart from that, the course really has been useful in terms of not only teaching about yoga, but also about its beneficial impact on our health- both mental and body.
Overall, I have benefited a great deal from this course even though it demands motivation and some levels of agility to be successful at. The exercises are demonstrated and explained with clarity, although not all of exercise were workable for newbies like me. However, the course itself has been amazing in getting myself into the intriguing world of yoga and I would not be in two minds about recommending this course to anyone who wants to get to know basic yoga poses and techniques.
