These meditations for kids are excellent!
First, I can’t talk about this course without praising the production of these meditation tracks. Whoever edited these meditations did an excellent job, because they’re so relaxing. It’s not just someone talking over the track; so it gives your mind space to wander without getting lost. I often babysit my sister’s kids; and let me tell y’all: that task used to be a struggle and a half. As many kids are, they’re rambunctious and it’s certainly hard to get them to sit in one place and focus on one thing. I’ve been super interested in meditation over the past couple of years, and the thought came to my mind of introducing my nieces and nephews to it (after getting the “okay” from their mom of course 🙂 ) That’s when I stumbled upon this audio course.
It took a while for them to get accustomed to it, but I was very surprised once they did. They were super into it! Who would have known? I especially love that the meditations are set up as interactive stories. It’s almost like you’re taking them on an adventure that’s happening inside their heads; it’s so cool! We listen to one right before my sister gets back from work, and they’re super relaxed and ready for bed once the track is over. I do it with them, and I’m super relaxed as well, even after dealing with a couple of crazy kids all day LMAO. Some of our favorites are the hot air balloon ride and the magnificent garden. They both create an awesome, relaxing environment for anyone who’s listening to it.
If you take care of kids, then you should try out these meditations for sure. They’re excited about it at the end of the day, and it’s almost like reading them a bedtime story. Also, if you do try it, be sure to stay consistent. Even adults need some time to adjust to new things, expect a child to need that adjustment period as well.
