Get functioning in bed without the meds
I never wanted to be an expert on sexual dysfunction. Aging is just one of those things that makes you research things perhaps a little too much. I honestly don’t know how people aged gracefully before the internet. Thinking back to my parents and grandparents, I think there was just a lot more acceptance. But, I say forget all that. It’s the modern age, now, and I’m not going down without a fight.
When I noticed my libido was starting to wane, I decided that was enough. I can deal with a creaky knee or a busted hip, but you’ve got to draw a line somewhere. I found and tried a lot of possible solutions. There are pills for just about everything these days, and some of them even do something. Many of the solutions I tried turned out to be just a huge waste of time and money. Others work, but pills get expensive, and I didn’t want to live on pills anyway.
When I decided to go a different route, I stumbled upon Dr. Steve G. Jones and his hypnotherapy audio course “Hypnosis for Men for Sex and Relationships.” I confess I was more interested in helping with the former rather than the latter, but as it turns out, getting help with the one can really make a difference in the other. As soon as I started listening to Dr. Jones, I began feeling calmer in general. It’s as if letting go with hypnosis leads to something like meditation benefits. Either that or the suggestions are actually working.
I have skipped ahead, past the relaxing music and Dr. Jones’ lecture about not listening to this course while driving (don’t), and I really haven’t found anything that made me go “Aha!” On the other hand, I am finding myself feeling a level of virility I haven’t felt in some time. And it’s not just in a relationship or sexual sense. It seems to have taken half a lifetime to discover that positive thoughts and feelings lead to other positive experiences in life. Who knew?
